Reseller checklist
What to collect from a new customer, the setup order, and how to confirm each step.
This page is for resellers bringing a customer onto Tradie On The Move. It puts the whole setup on one page: what to ask the customer for up front, the order to work in, and how to tell each step is finished before moving on. Each step links to the full guide.
Collect from the customer first
Ask for all of this at the start. A missing item usually holds up the step after it.
- Company name and the administrator’s email address.
- Which Infusion they use: Infusion Elite or Infusion Online.
- For Infusion Elite: remote access to the Infusion server, signed in as a Windows administrator. Also the Infusion data folder, ledger name, and an Infusion login for the connector to use.
- For Infusion Online: the Licensee Id and Session Id, sent through a secure channel.
- A staff list: for each person, their name, email, mobile number, whether they are an administrator, the labour codes they log time against, and their matching Infusion staff member.
- Their phones: Android or iPhone, and who will be at the first device setup.
Before the first one: can you create the company yourself?
Creating a customer’s company is a permission on your reseller account, off unless Tradie turns it on. With it on, New Tenant is in the Tradie Admin app and step 1 is yours to do. Without it, the app shows no New Tenant anywhere and your Tradie contact creates the company for you - everything from step 2 on is the same either way.
If you expect to see New Tenant and do not, ask Tradie to switch Can create tenants on for your reseller account. It is worth settling before you start, rather than at the point you have the customer’s details in front of you.
Work through it in order
| Step | Done when | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Provision the business | The administrator can log in to the Scheduler | Provision your business |
| 2. Connect Infusion | Elite: the connector shows Online for the company in the Tradie Admin app. Online: the job web hook shows Registered | Connect Infusion Elite, Connect Infusion Online |
| 3. Check the data comes through | Customers appear after clicking Update in Infusion Data Sets | Infusion data sets |
| 4. Setup Wizard | Each task in the wizard shows as done | Setting up a new company |
| 5. Company settings | The customer has decided when time is sent to Infusion and what technicians see | Choose your company settings |
| 6. Users | Every person on the staff list can log in | Set up a new team member |
| 7. Office dry run | Office staff have logged time and materials on a real job in the Mobile app | Log time |
| 8. Devices | Each technician’s phone has the app on the home screen, a PIN, and the camera allowed | Set up your team’s devices |
| 9. Round trip | A few finished jobs match in Tradie and Infusion | Check it arrived in Infusion |
Hand over
Before you step back, make sure the customer knows:
- Who to contact, and that you can see their Scheduler with Remote Help while they describe a problem.
- Where Unposted Transactions shows up in the Scheduler, and that it needs looking at when it appears.
- For Infusion Elite: that the connector server must stay switched on and online, and what to check when lists suddenly come up empty.
