Introduction to the Sales Lead Portal

Track leads from first contact through to a won job, and see where the pipeline stands.

Last updated 3 Oct 2026

Overview

The Sales Lead Portal is where enquiries get tracked from the first phone call through to a signed-off, won job - customer details, expected value, probability, activity history and status, all in one place, with a dashboard that shows the shape of the pipeline at a glance.

The Sales dashboard with its KPI tiles and charts

What you can do

  • Track leads - customer, division, expected value, probability and status in one record
  • See the pipeline - KPI tiles and charts break the pipeline down by division, status or salesperson
  • Log activity - every call, site visit or quote sent recorded against the lead
  • Search your ERP’s customers - pick an existing customer instead of re-typing their details
  • Link to the job it becomes - once a lead is won, connect it to the real job in your ERP

Who uses it

  • Salespeople - track your own leads and log activity as you work them
  • Sales admins - see the whole company’s pipeline, reassign leads, manage divisions

Key concepts

Lead - a tracked enquiry, from first contact to Sold or Lost

Status - where a lead sits in the pipeline (see Leads and the pipeline)

Division - which part of the business a lead belongs to (e.g. Electrical, Plumbing)

Activity - a logged interaction against a lead (a call, a site visit, a quote sent)

Linked job - the real ERP job a lead becomes once the work is confirmed

Getting started

  1. Ask your admin to enable the Sales module - see Enable the Sales module - it’s off by default for a new company
  2. Open the Sales Lead Portal from the app menu
  3. Check the dashboard for a first look at the pipeline
  4. Create a lead as soon as a new enquiry comes in
  5. Log activity as you work the lead through the pipeline
  6. Change its status as it moves along, right through to Sold or Lost
  7. Link it to a job once your ERP has one
