Docs Scheduler Introduction

Introduction

What the Tradie Scheduler is, who it's for, and how this guide is laid out.

Last updated 17 Oct 2026

Overview

The Tradie Scheduler is the dispatcher’s control centre - a full-calendar view of every team member and every job, live-updated as work happens in the field.

What the Scheduler does

The Scheduler is the desktop app your office team uses to plan and dispatch work. On one screen you can see every unassigned job, drag it onto a team member’s calendar, and watch its status update automatically as the job is started, worked on, and completed in the field - no phone calls needed to know where a job stands.

The Tradie Scheduler main screen
  1. The calendar - one row per team member or piece of equipment
  2. The jobs list - every job waiting to be booked, in progress, or admin
  3. The job details pane - full information on the selected job

How this guide is organised

  • Core concepts - the vocabulary: jobs, allocations, bookings, resources and statuses.
  • The main screen - the calendar, jobs list, job details pane and notification bar.
  • Toolbar buttons - what each icon along the top of the screen opens.
  • How-to - click-by-click steps for the tasks a dispatcher does every day.
  • Settings - every window behind the hamburger menu.

Use the search box at the top of any page to jump straight to a topic, or browse the sidebar on the left.

Your ERP

Tradie connects to one accounting system per business, and parts of this guide differ depending on which one you are on. Use the switch at the top of the page to set yours - Infusion Online or Infusion Elite - and the guide tailors itself: topics that do not apply drop out of the contents, and passages that differ show the version for your system. The choice is remembered as you move between pages.

Accredo Saturn is supported by Tradie but its documentation is still being written, so it is not in the switch yet.
