Overview
Every touchpoint with a customer gets logged as an activity - it’s what drives a lead’s current status, and it builds the history anyone picking up the lead later can read back through.
Step by step
- Open the lead from The leads list.
- Click Add Activity.
- Set the date it happened (defaults to today) and choose the status - this becomes the lead’s new current status once saved.
- Add details describing what happened, and update the probability if it’s changed.
- If there’s a follow-up already booked in, set the next action date and a short detail, and tick the checkbox once it’s confirmed with the customer.
- Click Save.
The new activity appears at the top of the lead’s activity history, and the lead’s status updates to match.
