Creating your first form
Build a form from blank, preview it, and put it on your team's phones.

Overview
A form is sections of fields. Start one, add the fields, check it in the two previews, save it, then choose where it appears. Nothing reaches a phone until you set its availability.
Step by step: build and publish a form
- Click New Form, type a Form Name and click Create. The form starts with one section.
- Select the section and give it a Heading. Set Display on report as to choose how it prints - see Sections.
- Click fields under + Add Fields to add them to the section, in order.
- Select each field and set its Heading and its other settings in the right panel.
- Add more sections with Section under + Add Sections.
- Check the Mobile Preview and Report Preview tabs.
- Click Save Form.
- Click Availability, choose where the form appears, and click Save.
The form now appears on the phones and jobs you chose. Team members may need to reopen the app or the job to see it.
Tips for a first form
- Write headings as questions - “Is the isolator labelled?” reads better on the phone and on the report than “Isolator”.
- Mark only what you truly need as mandatory. A form that will not save is the most common complaint from the field.
- Add a Job Fields field if the report should carry the job number, customer and site. It fills itself in. See Job Fields.
- End with a Signature if someone has to sign the work off.
Starting from something you already have
- A Word form - use Import Document to turn it into a draft.
- An existing form - open it and use Save As / Duplicate.
See Copy, export and reuse forms.
Changing it later
Open it with Open Report, change it, and Save Form. Phones pick up the new version; forms already completed keep the answers they were saved with.
