Its own settings
| Setting | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Today and future dates only | Due dates and follow-ups, which cannot be in the past |
| Today and historic dates only | When something happened, which cannot be in the future |
| Default to today’s date | Dates that are almost always today, such as the date of the work |
Only one of the two limits can be on at a time.
It also has the settings most fields share.
On the phone and the report
The phone shows a date picker, with days outside the allowed range unavailable.
Dates you do not need to ask for
The job’s own dates come with the job. If the report needs the job details, use Job Fields rather than asking the technician to retype them.
