The Location filter
Narrow the calendar and jobs list to one branch or depot at a time.
A business running out of several branches does not want every branch on one calendar. The Location filter narrows the scheduler to the staff and jobs belonging to one location, using the locations already set up in your accounting system.
Turning it on
The filter is off until an administrator switches on Show Location filter in module settings. Until then nothing changes and no dropdown appears.
Before you switch it on, give your staff a location. Users with no location set are hidden while a location is chosen, so a business that turns the filter on before assigning locations sees an empty calendar.
Step by step: set it up
- Open module settings from the hamburger menu and switch on Show Location filter.
- Open the Users screen and set each person’s Location.
- On the Plant & Equipment screen, set a Location on any item that belongs to one branch.
- Reload the scheduler. A Location: dropdown appears at the top.
- Choose a location, or leave it on All.
Your choice is remembered, so the scheduler comes back to the same location next time you open it.
What the filter hides
| With a location chosen | |
|---|---|
| Staff rows | Only people whose location matches. |
| Sales staff rows | Same rule. |
| Staff with no location | Hidden. They come back under All. |
| Equipment | Plant tagged with a different location is hidden. Untagged plant shows everywhere. |
| Jobs list | Only jobs for that location. Admin and special jobs always show. |
| Bookings | A hidden person’s bookings go with them. |
Equipment works the opposite way round to people on purpose: a trailer that lives at one depot should be tagged, and a van that goes anywhere should not be, so untagged plant stays available at every location.
The same location choice narrows the plant pickers in Create Booking and Create Job.
Limitations
- Infusion Online and Infusion Elite only. Accredo Saturn does not take part.
- If your accounting system has no locations set up, the dropdown says so rather than offering an empty list.
- A booking of an out-of-location job onto an in-location person still shows, because the filter works on the rows, not on each booking.
