Stop work checklist
The reminders a team member reads on a job before they finish work on it.
A short list of reminders shown on a job in the Mobile app when the technician is closing it off. Use it for whatever should happen before someone leaves site - tools counted, materials recorded, the customer told what was done.
What it is
One list, shared by the whole company. It is not per job, per customer or per job type: every technician sees the same items on every job.
| Where you set it | Scheduler hamburger menu → Stop Work Checklist |
| Where it comes from | Typed here. Nothing imports it from your accounting system |
| Where your team sees it | The Mobile app, on a job’s Close tab |
| Who sees it | Everyone, on every job |
“Stop work” means finishing work on the job - tapping Stop Work, which ends the technician’s time on it. It is not about stopping because a site is unsafe. The checks for an unsafe site belong in Health & safety.
Building the list
Each row is one item: a drag handle on the left, the text itself, and a × on the right to remove it.
Step by step: add and order items
- Click Add item. An empty row appears.
- Type the text, then click away or press Enter. There is no Save button - a row saves itself when you leave the box.
- Drag a row by its handle to move it. The new order saves by itself too.
- Click × on a row to remove it.
Editing an existing item works the same way: click into the text, change it, click away.
The order here is the order on the phone, and the phone numbers them 1 -, 2 - and so on, so write them in the order you want them done.
What the technician sees
The items appear as a numbered list of text. There is nothing to tick. Tradie does not record that a technician read them, and nothing stops them closing the job - this is a reminder on the screen they are already looking at, not a gate.
If you need a record of what was done, build a form in the Report Designer and place it on the job’s Close tab instead: a form is filled in, submitted and kept against the job, and you can read the answers later in Completed forms.
An empty list shows nothing at all. The heading only appears on the phone once there is at least one item.
A change reaches a phone the way every other setting does - the next time the app starts, or within about six hours. See when a phone sees a change.
